Nearly 600 people attended the 2014 National Energy and Utility Affordability Conference held June 18-20 at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
This marked the first year NEUAC will be presented by the National Energy and Utility Affordability Coalition, the new entity which previously was the National Fuel Funds Network and the National Low Income Energy Consortium.
The conference presented three days of workshops and general sessions intended to help attendees become more effective in their work and to strengthen the energy safety net. It included workshops focusing on innovative approaches to serving low-income energy consumers, weatherization and energy efficiency, policy and advocacy, serving vulnerable populations and energy assistance and education. NEUAC 2014 also included a full track dedicated to Tribal issues.
